A man on the run from prison could be in Preston according to Lancashire Police.

Alan Brogan, 30, absconded from prison sometime before 8pm on Wednesday 7 October.

Brogan was sentenced to eight years in prison in July 2009 for wounding with intent, aggravated burglary, robbery, theft and possession of a prohibited weapon.

DC 1471 David Kerigan said: “If anyone has seen Alan Brogan, I would urge them to let us know.

“We are advising the public not to approach him but to contact the police instead.”

He is described as being 6ft 1ins tall, with light coloured hair, blue eyes and of slim build. He has a distinctive tattoo on his right forearm of the word ‘Brogan’.
