A Preston man has been charged with driving a vehicle whilst on drugs after a car collided with a pedestrian in Penwortham.
AdvertisementPreston Police have dropped an initial charge of attempted murder but have charged Daniel Dacre, 30, of Heathfield Drive, Ribbleton, with driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs and possession of a Class B controlled drug – amphetamine.
The incident happened at the junction of Carleton Drive and the A59 in late June.
A 40-year-old man was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with head and leg injuries but has since recovered.
Dacre is due to appear at Preston Magistrates Court on Thursday 8 October.
