Preston’s new skate park was officially opened on Sunday lunchtime.
AdvertisementMoor Park has a major new attraction and it is already proving popular.
Hundreds of youngsters from across the city and beyond took to the skate park and busted out their best moves.
The skate park is part of a major restoration plan for the grade II listed park, which is the largest in Preston.
Jim Beattie was down there to see the skaters sizzle in the some late summer sunshine while they tested it out.
Campaigners have been working for the best part of a decade to have a skate park created in Moor Park.
It has cost £320,000 and has been designed by Freestyle Skate Parks, one of the leading UK skate park firms.
The £2.3 million restoration project for the rest of the park is due to take place during the next three years.
