A car was damaged in an arson attack in Larches according to Preston Police.

They are appealing for witnesses after a white Vauxhall Vivaro van was set alight in Elswick Road.

The incident happened around 10.50pm on Saturday 29 August and a white Kia Picanto car was also badly damaged in the blaze.

A woman was seen running away from the incident after causing the fire. She got into a dark coloured sports car which was parked in a rear alley of Elswick Road and drove off.

PC 2957 Phil Baxendale from Preston Police said: “If anyone saw anything suspicious in the area leading up to the fire or similarly, if they have seen the woman or a dark sports car in the vicinity at the time, please get in touch.”
