Volunteers in Preston have banded together to set up an action group to help refugees in camps across Europe.
More than 20 people attended the first meeting of the Preston Support for Calais Refugees group at the Beautiful Planet cafe in Friargate.
The cafe has been turned into a drop-off point for donated goods for anyone who wants to help in the refugee crisis.
Calais Action is a movement to provide much-needed items to refugees who are in various camps on the French border and elsewhere.
David Callagan from the Preston group said anyone wishing to donate items should read the online guidance on the Calais Action website first.
The drop-off point at the cafe is open from 10.30am to 5.30pm on weekdays.
A meeting for those who want to help is taking place on Sunday 20 September at 7pm at the cafe.
