Armed police arrest man in Preston city centre

Armed police have arrested a man in Preston city centre during Tuesday evening.
AdvertisementA number of members of the public reported the man was surrounded by armed officers in Atkinson Close.
He was led away around 6.15pm along Crown Street after a tense stand off.
At this stage it is not known why the man was arrested.
Blog Preston has contacted Lancashire Police for further details about the incident.
