A motorist is wanted after a “nasty and unprovoked attack” on a cyclist in Ribbleton.
AdvertisementPolice say a 47-year-old man was cycling along Pope Lane at 10.15pm on Wednesday 26 August when he was punched in the face.
A man approached the cyclist after getting out of a black saloon vehicle with a red square logo on the passenger door – and punched him in the face fracturing the victim’s cheekbone.
PC 1559 Paul Nelson of Preston Police said: “This was a nasty and unprovoked attack and we are determined to find the person responsible. We would urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have seen the offender in the area at the time to contact us.”
The offender is described as white, of medium build, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, with dark brown very short or shaved hair. He was wearing a sleeveless white v neck top, dark coloured tracksuit bottoms and white training shoes.
