Businesses across Lancashire are invited to ‘hangout’ as part of a networking event to be held in Preston City Centre.
Preston Business Improvement District are behind the event which returns to Winckley Square offering businesses the chance to network and share marketing and promotional offers with others.
Local restaurant, Duk Pond, will be backing the event for the second time bringing along tasty samples, following successes in June earlier this year.
Andrea Mellon, owner and chef patron said she jumped at the chance to be a part of the next hangout, “It is such a great idea. A lot of people who are new to starting their own businesses find it very difficult to network in the traditional setting.
“So to bring it here with music, food and such gorgeous surroundings, it really does make it easier for people to meet and build their business.”
The event is growing in popularity and Preston BID manager, Mark Whittle, said it’s becoming one of the organisations flagship events, “We have got to the point now where the Winckley Square Hangout is one of our main events and it is one of the best-known and best-attended networks in the Preston area.
“It is free to attend and everyone gets a free glass of fizz and some great food courtesy of Andrea, so it has to be a no-brainer really.”
Autumn’s Winckley Square Hangout will be held on Thursday September 24 between 4pm and 6pm and is free of charge. Names of those wishing to attend should e-mail bid@lancschamber.co.uk.
