Woman found dead in Lea house

A woman has been found dead after firefighters were called to a property in Lea.


Ambulance crews called out Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service after they couldn’t enter a house.

A spokesman for the fire service said: “Firefighters were able to enter via a first floor window using a triple extension ladder. One female discovered deceased.”

Crews were called out at 11.43am on Thursday.

Lancashire Police confirmed the body of a 39-year-old woman was found.

A spokeswoman said they were not treating the death as suspicious and a file has been passed to the coroner.
