UCLan’s Freshers fortnight returns this September with new events, and a new partnership.

UCLan’s Student Union and Future UNI’s Preston Freshers Wristband have teamed up to bring a total of 20 events across popular venues and nightclubs over the two weeks.

In previous years, the two each promoted separate wristbands with separate events causing clashes, however the new partnership hopes to eliminate this problem. UCLan Students’ Union Facebook page describes it as history in the making, providing students with the best Freshers’ experience with something for everyone.

The series of events hosted over two weeks at the beginning of the academic year is designed to welcome back students to the city and the university, with Skoolies and paint parties being regular favourites.

A full line-up, including cost of wristbands and details of each of the 20 events is due to be released at 6pm on Monday August 3, with wristbands offering guaranteed entry, queue jump and student discount.
