‘Love Food, Love Preston’ returns next month, welcoming famous faces to the city for its fourth year celebrating local restaurants.

The month-long campaign is designed to highlight the places to eat and drink throughout Preston with a chance to ‘Dine with the Stars’ on August 22.

On that day, people dining in the area could have the chance to eat alongside Coronation Street’s Kym Marsh and TV chef’s Aldo Zilli and Ed Baines as they visit the city.

Throughout the month, restaurants and eateries will celebrate with their unique special offers and participating restaurants will offer £10 and £15 deals. A list of places taking part and their deals can be found here, when the website launches on August 1.

Stalls will be set up around the city centre on the same day for the annual Lancashire Market.

Preston Business Improvement District are hosting the event and manager Mark Whittle praises its success, “We want to bring new people into the city to see what there is, but also encourage those people who already dine her to try some of the restaurants they haven’t been to before.

“Preston is the only place in Lancashire to hold Purple Flag accreditation, which rewards excellence in managing the evening and night-time economy, and during assessment the judges told us they were very impressed with the city’s restaurant offer.”

Celebrity Chef Gino D’Acampo launched the campaign in 2012.
