An elderly man and the driver of a car involved a four-vehicle crash are in hospital with serious injuries.
AdvertisementPreston Police are appealing for witnesses after a 27-year-old driver of an Audi, from Bolton, is in hospital with a head injury.
He has been arrested on suspicion of the unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle.
It relates to an incident involving four cars outside the Black Bull pub in Black Bull Lane, Fulwood around 10.50pm on Tuesday.
Police say a white Audi A1 collided with a silver Vauxhall Zafira, carrying three passengers.
Both vehicles then collided with a third car, a Volkswagen Golf, which then in turn shunted into another Volkswagen Golf.
A 56-year-old man and a 72-year-old man are both in hospital in a stable conidition.
A second passenger, a 16-year-old boy from Preston, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with a cut to his head and an eye injury.
Sgt James Power from the Preston Road Policing Unit said: “This was a very serious incident which has resulted in two men ending up in Intensive Care in hospital.
“We are still trying to piece together exactly what happened to cause the collision and so I urge anyone who witnessed the crash or those who might have seen a white Audi car driving erratically through Preston to make contact with us.
“Similarly, I am asking anyone who may have seen people running or walking away from the area where the crash happened to get in touch.”
