Fulwood Academy is celebrating as the school no longer holds the “Special Measures” Ofsted report.
AdvertisementThe Academy on Black Bull Lane was placed under Special Measures in 2013 as teaching, learning and management were all assessed. Ofsted rankings include Outstanding and Good, with Special Measures meaning action is required to make the school adequate.
Principal Stephen Henry is said to be at the forefront of the schools major turnaround which shook off the inadequate status with a new report.
Mr Henry himself paid tribute to staff and school governers for their work in improving the key aspects of the school.
