One of the first pieces of the North West Preston Masterplan jigsaw has been lodged with city council planners.
AdvertisementThe Connemara development would see 125 new homes built on a four and a half hectares site located along the West Coast Main Line and the M55.
Planning permission for the development was originally refused in December 2012 but now the masterplan has been adopted the detailed plans have now been lodged.
The plans from Persimmon Homes state: “This is an important site as it will contribute 125 units over the first four to five years of the new local plan.
“This site is also one of the first pieces to come forward as part of the comprehensive development of North West Preston.”
The reserved matters submission – which gives details on what types of houses are to be built – has to be submitted by August to ensure outline planning permission on the site does not expire.
It will take until 2020 for the full Connemara development to be finished. A large detached property on the current land is due to be demolished to make way for the new homes.
The full plans are available to view on the city council website.
