A campaign has launched calling on a worldwide doughnut chain to open in Preston.

Ben Robinson, 34, wants to see Dunkin Donuts come to the city’s high street.

He said: “For the past year I’ve been emailing and posting comments on the Dunkin Donuts UK Facebook page regarding opening in Preston.

“Now I know it is still early days and all but I’m trying my very best to make it happen.

“I believe with a little hard work I could make this happen.”

Mr Robinson, who lives in Ashton-on-Ribble, says Dunkin Donuts could be “vital to the local economy” and it would be the first of the chain to open in the North West.
