Two Preston men arrested on suspicion of Fishergate attack

Two Preston men have been arrested following an assault in Fishergate.

Preston Police say two 21-year-old men were from Preston were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

One of the men was also arrested on suspicion of affray. Both men have been bailed until Tuesday 28 July.

A third man has also been identified by police and is helping them with their enquiries.

A 39-year-old man remains in Royal Preston Hospital with a serious head injury following the attack in the early hours of Sunday morning.
