Pictures of three men have been released in connection with the assault and robbery of a woman in Preston city centre.
AdvertisementThe 45-year-old victim was sat at a bench at a disused taxi rank in Lords Walk at 11.30pm on Sunday 26 April.
She was waiting for her partner to pick her up when she was approached by a man.
He attempted to steal her mobile phone. He then punched her in the face and stole her handbag.
Police say as the man fled he said to the woman “Lucy you weren’t stabbed”.
The bag was recovered near to Crooked Lane opposite Preston Bus Station.
The offender is described as white, in his twenties, with short fair hair, of a skinny build with a long thin face. He was wearing a long sleeved sweatshirt and a top with a white collar underneath.
DC Azam Khan of Preston CID said: “Anyone who can help us trace the men pictured within the CCTV images should contact Preston CID as soon as possible on 01772 209753 quoting log reference 1545 of 26 April.”
