Plans for nearly 50 new homes in Cottam are back on the agenda as developers want to build behind existing homes off Hoyles Lane.
AdvertisementHollins Land Management have lodged plans for 48 houses on a swathe of land close to two hectares in what will eventually be part of the North West Preston masterplan area.
Developers say the Hoyles Lane homes will eventually link into the new Preston Western Distributor road, and a new junction is to be created with Hoyles Lane.
The new homes would be mainly three to four bedroom houses with gardens and driveways.
The plans for Hoyles Lane were thrown out by Preston City Council’s planning committee earlier this year – with councillors saying the new junction would not be safe. Hollins have also lodged an appeal against the city council’s decision.
It follows an application to build 350 homes on land off Hoyles Lane and Sidgreaves Lane which was approved after a planning appeal.
The full plans are available to view on the city council website, and comments on the application can be left there.
