CCTV pictures of three men have been released in connection with an assault in Preston city centre.
A 39-year-old man remains in Royal Preston Hospital with a serious head injury after the attack in the early hours of Sunday.
Police say the incident happened around 2.30am in Fishergate.
The victim was walking along the road with his friend when he was approached by a group of men.
One of the men is believed to have knocked him to the floor before kicking his head.
DS 1521 Jerry Sturgess of Preston CID said: “These images show the people we want to talk to in relation to this incident. I am hoping the men themselves will get in touch but I would ask the public to take a close look and pass on any information about the identity of the men.”
