A Preston woman is bringing the glitzy world of Bollywood to St Catherine’s Hospice.
AdvertisementFriday sees the first ever Bollywood night to raise funds for the hospice as part of its 30th birthday celebrations.
Neesh Events, based in Broadgate, will treat guests to an authentic Bollywood DJ and teach them dance moves from movie experts.
An Indian buffet is being put on and the chance to get made over by a Mehndi artist with henna tattos.
Bina Limbachia, who runs Neesh Events with her husband Ravish, said: “Bollywood is all about bright colours, lots of bling and generally being fabulously over the top – we’re going to recreate that right here in the St Catherine’s marquee and it’s going to look wonderful.
“As people arrive there’ll be two grand Roman pillars with a ‘Welcome to Bollywood’ sign hung above – this should make a great photo opportunity! And then once inside there’ll be lots of mood lighting, coloured drapes, lanterns, Arabian vases and colourful garlands. Bollywood posters, props and a Bollywood style back-drop will complete the look, and really make people feel like they are somewhere completely different.”
Tickets are £20 and available from the St Catherine’s website.
