A Preston-based law firm has seen a staggering growth of 68% within one of its divisions.
AdvertisementBirchall Blackburn Law is a national company with offices on Avenham Street and this recorded growth came from within the conveyance division.
The statistic was founded as a result of the firms latest annual records and saw the figures rise from £4.5 million to £7.6 million for conveyancing appointments.
This growth of £3.1 million sets the 160-strong team on track to beat a £10 million target by April 2016.
James Boyd, pictured, heads up the conveyancing division and believes that growth in the housing market has a lot to do with their success.
He said, “It’s been a phenomenal year for the division, beating our target of 50 per cent growth.
“Clients want a service built on quality, speed and communication – and we have built our entire philosophy around this. We’ve seen consistent growth in the housing market for some time and with the general election done and dusted we expect the momentum to grow.
“Over the past 12 months, we also formed strategic partnerships with estate agents, mortgage brokers and finance providers. We are in a good position to break the £10million turnover barrier by April 2016. Demand has never been so high.”
Among its successes, the firm has recently been named as one of London Stock Exchange’s ‘1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain’. They are also collaborating with Manchester Metropolitan University to develop an apprenticeship scheme.
