Players to depart Deepdale

Five players will be leaving Preston North End following a successful trip to Wembley and promotion to the Championship.

Keith Keane and Jack King have both been offered contracts at other clubs and will officially leave next month. Lee Holmes and Scott Wiseman will also depart with David Buchanan joining them.

Keane joined the club in 2012 under Graham Westley’s instruction and made 76 appearances for Preston North End. He will join league two side Cambridge United.

King will leave Deepdale for Scunthorpe United after 102 appearances in 3 years for the whites. He will be joined there by Scott Wiseman.

Meanwhile Lee Holmes will join Exeter City having spent time there on loan with David Buchanan moving to Northampton Town.

Preston North End beat Swindon 4-0 at the weekend to secure promotion after 9 failed attempts in play-off finals previously.

Keane took to Twitter to thank PNE:
