The woman was found at an address in Heywood Road at 5.25am on Saturday.

Ambulance crews took her to Royal Preston Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

A 26-year-old man from Preston was arrested on suspicion of murder but on Sunday morning was released without charge by Lancashire Police.

Police said they are now awaiting toxicology results after a Home Office post mortem was inconclusive as to the cause of her death.

The 26-year-old man has been bailed pending further enquiries in relation to an offence of allegedly being concerned in the supply of cocaine until 30 June.
