A man missing from his home in Heysham could be using the canal towpaths in Preston to move about – say police.
AdvertisementPreston Police are growing increasingly concerned for the whereabouts of Ronald Fleetwood, 56, who has not been seen since Monday 6 April.
He left his home address in Stanley Road, Heysham, at 11.30pm and has not made contact with his family since.
Police say there was a reported sighting of him at the Peace Garden in Preston city centre on Tuesday last week.
PC 538 Steve Bould of Lancaster Police said: “It has been over two weeks since Ronald went missing from home and his family are becoming increasingly concerned about him.
“The last reported sighting was in the Preston area last week and I would urge anyone who may have seen him since or who has any information on his whereabouts to get in touch with us.
“Similarly, I would also urge Ronald himself, if he sees this appeal, to contact us or his family to let us know he is safe.”
Mr Fleetwood is described as white, stocky build with receding fair hair and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a green winter coat, jeans and had a holdall.
