Good Friday Walk of Witness through Penwortham streets

Penwortham parishioners took to the streets for the annual Good Friday Walk of Witness.

A wooden cross was carried at the head of the procession which started at St Mary’s Parish Church around 10am.

Heather Crook, who runs the Penwortham Magazine, joined the worshippers for the the hour long walk through nearby roads.

A service of worship was held at St Mary’s around 11am, as everyone dried out from the walk.
