Garstang Road collision: Motorcyclist in hospital as police appeal for information

A motorcyclist remains in hospital after a serious collision in Preston on Wednesday afternoon.

Richard Grindley, 27, was taken to Preston Royal Hospital with serious head injuries. His family say he remains in a critical condition.

He was involved in a collision with a Honda Civic car at the junction of Moor Park Avenue and Garstang Road in the Plungington area.

The incident happened around 12.50pm and left the rider of the Kawasaki ZX-9 vehicle with injuries.

Road Policing Sgt 2255 Tracey Ward said: “We are appealing to anyone who has witnessed this collision to come forward and speak to us.”

Anyone with information can contact Lancashire Police on 101 quoting incident reference 539 of 22 April.
