A motorcyclist remains in hospital after a serious collision in Preston on Wednesday afternoon.

Richard Grindley, 27, was taken to Preston Royal Hospital with serious head injuries. His family say he remains in a critical condition.

He was involved in a collision with a Honda Civic car at the junction of Moor Park Avenue and Garstang Road in the Plungington area.

The incident happened around 12.50pm and left the rider of the Kawasaki ZX-9 vehicle with injuries.

Road Policing Sgt 2255 Tracey Ward said: “We are appealing to anyone who has witnessed this collision to come forward and speak to us.”
