A demolition notice has been submitted to pull down a major building at the University of Central Lancashire’s Preston campus.
Fylde building is one of the most recognisable buildings at UCLan sitting facing onto Adelphi roundabout.
As part of the Adelphi Square masterplan from the university the building would be flattened to make way for a new multi-million pound building which would link directly with the current university library.
Adelphi Square would replace the Adelphi roundabout
In February the university announced its vision for a new civic square in the city with major changes to the Adelphi roundabout as a result.

The 1960s building would no longer be needed by the university and a demolition notice states an intention to have it pulled down by September.
