A charity event in honour of Jordan Grant will be held at West View Climbing and Leisure Centre, raising money and awareness for Cardiac Risk in the Young.
Jordan was just 17 when he passed away from the undiagnosed heart condition in 2012, and this event will be the fourth held in his honour. CRY are a national charity who offer screening and fundraising for the condition.
The Jordan Grant Superstars Team Event will see teams of up to 10 people participate in challenges including climbing, walking football, sumo wrestling, a bungee run and swimming relays. Each challenge will last around 30 minutes, with the event starting at 11.45am on Sunday May 17.
Anyone can book a place either as a team or as an individual, with the £10 entry fee including an entry pack with a sponsorship form, health screening form and details about the event.
Spaces are limited to 120 in total, and anyone wishing to book is urged to do so before Wednesday May 8.
Children under 15 require a signed parental consent form, under 12’s must be accompanied by an adult over 18 and any participant must be over 8 years old.
