The New Continental deliver yet another night of live music, this time with punk royalty Ed Tudor Pole.
AdvertisementThe 80’s musician and film star known for performing the title track and Who Killed Bambi in the Sex Pistols film, The Great Rock n’ Roll Swindle is concentrating on touring as a solo artist, despite successes with Tenpole Tudor who secured chart hits with Swords of a Thousand Men and Wunderbar.
He has also had small appearances in Game of Thrones and Harry Potter.
He said, “I date back to the birth of punk rock when it was all about being original and creating your own look.
“Before the time when it became a competition to see which band could sound the most similar to another! I’ve always rebelled against uniformity. If it is just a simple formula then it is not subversive, and if there is no subversion, ladies and gentlemen, it ain’t punk!”
Ed Tudor Pole will be joined by Flies on You and Blackpool-based The Poly-esters on Friday April 17 at 8pm.
Tickets will be £8 and are available by calling the venue on 01772 884772 or by clicking here.
