UCLan is hosting its very own Color Run for Marie Curie next month.
AdvertisementThe Color Run phenomena which hits cities across England each Summer is coming to Preston for the first time and the event is open to the general public as well as UCLan students and staff.
Over 200 people have already signed up for the race which will be held at UCLan Sports Arena on Saturday April 25. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the 5K race in a number of ways including walking, running, dancing or even by skipping across the finish line.
Marie Curie donations can be made on the day, and any money raised beforehand can be added to the total sum through personal Just Giving pages which are set up on registration. Organiser of the event and sports motivator Sam Cadwallader said, “Marie Curie has quite a lot of links with universities. It’s quite close to home with a lot of people and it’s a really nice charity. They are invited on the day and we are not just doing it with them they are involved with the university as well.
“It’s just a fun thing to get involved in.”
The race will begin at 10:30am, with registration opening at 9:30am. A full list of ticket prices can be found below, and for more information and safety tips on the paint and the event itself, click here.
