Produced by Penwortham resident Heather Crook the Preston Magazine is a collection of nostalgia and old pictures of the city.

It includes a lookback at how the city changed between 1843 and 1893 – with the writer commenting on just how rapidly the buildings were being demolished and shooting up. Not too much different to today then?

The diaries of soldiers who went out to fight in the First World War are also included, with James Green the latest to be profiled.
