A Preston school is attempting to ease the parking pressures on its campus.
AdvertisementMoor Park Business and Enterprise School has applied to increase the number of parking spaces by 10.
Plans also include creating a new access point into the school site.
Part of the school playground and a grass verge will be sacrificed to make way for the additional parking spaces.
A full heritage statement has been prepared by agents Cassidy and Ashton as the school sits within the Moor Park Conservation Area.
It says the school plans will have a “negligible impact” upon the Conservation Area.
Plans outline how the new school entrance would be constructed from the same materials as the existing gates and fencing which are visible from Moor Park.
Moor Park itself is set to see major renovations as part of a heritage lottery project, with more than £2 million being invested.
