The two classic stories, originally by M.R James, will be told in a one man show by Robert Lloyd Parry of Nunkie Theatre.

He has been performing shows based on the stories of M.R James since 2005, with his resemblance to the original author noted by more than one enthusiastic audience ember.

The two stories that will be performed are Casting the Runes and The Residence at Whitminster.

The shows are performed illuminated solely by candlelight with the hope of taking the audience back through time, as though performed by M.R James himself.

The evening is organised by They Eat Culture, who regularly put on innovative events across Preston.

Doors open at 8pm and tickets cost £8 or £6 concessions, available through the venue or online here.
