Appeal after woman sexually assaulted in Preston

Police are appealing for information after a 20 year old woman was sexually assaulted while she was out jogging in Preston.

At around 11.30am on Friday the woman was jogging on Sharoe Green Lane when a man ran behind her and grabbed her bottom. When the woman turned around, he sprinted off in the opposite direction.

He is described as being of a stocky build and was wearing a navy hooded top, navy workman’s trousers and gloves.

PC Thomas Draper of Preston Police said: “I would urge anyone who was in the vicinity of Sharoe Green Lane at the time of this incident and may have witnessed what happened to contact us.”
