Three people from Preston have been arrested after an eight week old baby was taken to hospital suffering from serious injuries.

Police were called to an address in Fulwood in the early hours of Monday.

They found the girl had suffered injuries including a bleed to the brain and she is now being cared for at Manchester Children’s Hospital.

The injuries are currently being treated as unexplained.

Three people from Preston, a 21 year old woman, a 25 year old man and a 51 year old woman, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and neglect and have been bailed until later this month.
