Ribbleton woman left shaken by grabbing incident

Police are appealing after a woman was grabbed by a man in Ribbleton who tried to pull her into some bushes.


The 24 year old woman was walking along Ribbleton Hall Drive on Sunday around 8pm.

As she came near to the junction with Ribbleton Avenue she was approached by a man who grabbed her.

The woman was able to break free from the man and made her way home.

The offender is described as a white male, in his late teens or early twenties, approximately 5ft 3in tall, medium build with dark blonde hair that is collar length and in tight curls. He is believed to have been wearing dark clothing at the time.

DS Oliver Jemson of South CID said: “Thankfully the woman was uninjured but she has been left very shaken by the incident. An investigation to identify the man is underway and I would appeal to anyone who may have seen anything or has any information about what happened to contact us.”
