From Sunday 7th December and each weekend until Christmas, Preston City Council Parks Services are to offer visitors to Avenham & Miller Parks trips around the parks on a trailer pulled by a tractor, driven by one of Santa’s little helpers!
The trips will provide a great and fun way to take in the stunning sights of the Grade 2* listed heritage Parks from the relative comfort of a carriage seat.
The attraction is being run simultaneously with the popular Tea with Santa sessions taking place at the Pavilion at weekends on the run up to Christmas. At Tea with Santa, children have the chance to meet Father Christmas, receive a personalised Christmas present and enjoy a kiddie’s meal with him. Children can also make a Christmas card and other seasonal crafts, post Father Christmas a letter in our Santa Express postbox and have their photo taken with him on his sleigh with special guests Wallace and Gromit!
The Mayor and Mayoress of Preston, Councillor Nick Pomfret and Mrs Barbara Pomfret, will try out the new Preston the Park Keeper Tractor tour service of the parks for themselves, meet the children and their families at the Tea with Santa event and pose for photos with the children, Father Christmas and the parks tour tractor and trailer.
