A flat above a takeaway in Preston has been raided by two men while a teenage girl was inside.

Preston Police are appealing when the flat above Jade City on London Road was entered on Tuesday.

The incident took place around 6.30pm and left a 17-year-old girl shaken after the men forced their way in via a side door.

Police say cash was taken during the raid, as the men demanded money from the girl.

DC Jane Thomas from Preston CID said: “I believe that the shop has been deliberately targeted by these men which has understandably left the girl who was there at the time extremely shaken up.

“I am appealing for anyone who may have seen anything or indeed anyone who has any information at all about this incident to come forward and see to us.”

The offenders are described as an Asian male, 5ft 8ins wearing a black waterproof jacket with his hood up and the jacket pulled up over his nose. He spoke with a foreign sounding accent.

The second man is described as possibly white, 6ft, with big shoulders. He was wearing all black, with his jacket covering his face.
