Police arrest man after Preston Docks assault

A Preston man has been arrested on suspicion of assault at Preston Docks.

Police were called just before 9pm on Monday to reports of an incident near a number of restaurants on the Docks, including Chiquitos, McDonalds and the Ribble Pilot pub.

A 19 year old man was assaulted and an ambulance called to provide treatment.

The 20 year old man arrested remains in police custody.

Social media reports suggested a man had been stabbed but police said there were no reports of any stab wounds.
