More than a lick of paint is being applied to bring a legendary name back to the city high street.
Harry’s Bar was the original name of the Jazz bar.
The opening of the bar follows the refurbishing of the Academy next door to become Hogarth’s.
And Olive Tree Brasserie has opened just over the road in the Miller Arcade.
Apology: With reference to the appreciated comments below, we agree that the new Harry’s Bar on Church Street is not the premises the former Guild Tavern as originally stated in this article (now ammended), but is the premises of the former ‘Old Bull New Bar’
