Preston Rural county councillor George Wilkins has put £500 towards the club’s work through the local grants given out by Lancashire County Council.

A statement from the club said: “The club is constantly looking for ways to improve the facilities to attract new members. We welcome anyone who is intereted in playing cricket or willing to help in anyway. The toilet facilities are also utilised by the general public when the club is open.”

Club members are doing the work themselves, to keep costs to a minimum.
