A takeaway on a main route to and from Preston’s university campus has applied for longer opening hours.
Curry Pot, formerly known as Mick’s Curry Pot, wants to serve until 4.30am.
Currently the takeaway, on Friargate just along from the Tesco Express, can only open from 11pm to 3am.
But with student numbers set to grow along Friargate with the Portergate scheme and the Corporation Street scheme Curry Pot owner Azam M has applied for longer hours.
The new opening hours for Curry Pot would be 5pm to 4.30am and allowed to serve refreshments from 11pm to 4.30am.
Curry Pot re-opened in 2012 after a fire gutted the takeaway in 2010, and upon re-opening it dropped the Mick.
