Preston is gearing up to welcome Turtle Bay to the city.

The restaurant chain has earned itself a strong reputation across the country and hopefully its expansion into Preston will be a success.

Turtle Bay opens to the public on November 28. Here’s the five reasons we’re excited.

1. Cocktails

The choice of alcohol in Turtle Bay is pretty amazing. The vast majority of them have rum in them but there’s still options for those who don’t. One particularly interesting option is a Guinness based milkshake. It sounds weird, and it is a little, but it’s also delicious. There’s also a Happy Hour when cocktails are two-for-one.

2. Jerk Hotpot

Exclusive to the Preston store is a Jerk Hotpot. The Mayor even sampled the dish recently as the eatery prepared to open. It’ll be great to try something created just for the city.

3. The atmosphere

From previous Turtle Bay experiences, the restaurants have a brilliant atmosphere. The music is just loud enough and the staff are friendly. Cocktails obviously help too. It’s laid-back and it works perfectly for the food.

4. Takeaway

Decent takeaway food is definitely on the rise. Nandos and The Ferret both provide a takeaway service that is a step above your standard fare and Turtle Bay is no different in that respect. If you need some jerk food in your home, that can happen.

5. Options

Turtle Bay has options whether you want a light lunch or you want to be so full that your friends need to roll you home. If you want something seriously authentic then go for the One Pot dishes. Basically, we expect Turtle Bay to be a great addition to Preston.
