The Briarwood Care Home on Todd Lane South
Three Preston care workers have been charged following an investigation at a Lostock Hall care home.
Indranee Pumbien, 58 of Grosvenor Place, Meghadeven Pumbien, 62 also of Grosvenor Place and Niphawan Berry, 41, of Christ Church Street have all been charged with offences under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
The charges relate to alleged mistreatment of vulnerable adults at the Briarwood Rest Home aged between 88 and 99 years old.
Mr and Mrs Pumbien were owners of the care home, Mrs Berry was a member of staff.
Lancashire Police have decided to press charges in relation to ill treatment and wilful neglect of a person with lack of capacity.
Indranee Pumbien is charged with 20 offences of being a carer involved in the ill treatment and wilful neglect of a person with lack of capacity contrary to the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
She is also charged with two offences of committing an act with the intent to pervert the course of justice.
Meghadeven Pumbien is charged with three offences of being a carer involved in the ill treatment and wilful neglect of a person with lack of capacity contrary to the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
He is also charged with one offence of committing an act with the intent to pervert the course of justice.
Nipahawan Berry is charged with one offence of Section 20 wounding contrary to the Offences against the Person Act 1861 and two offences of being a carer involved in the ill treatment and wilful neglect of a person with lack of capacity contrary to the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
A total of 29 charges have been filed and related to incidents from April 2013 to June 2014.
The Briarwood three are due to appear at Preston Magistrates Court on Wednesday 10 December.
The care home was listed for sale on Rightmove until recently, and is believed to have stopped operating.
