The former doctors surgery on Ashton Street

Ashton on Ribble residents are invited to a PACT meeting to discuss doctors surgeries in the area.

Local residents have been forced to travel to Deepdale for medical treatment since the closure of their local surgery.

The Ashton Street doctors surgery closed and is now being converted into student accommodation.

St Walburges PACT has invited ISSA medical practice manager Sharon Riley to attend their next meeting on Wednesday.

Karen Barron, the manager who deals with patients from the St Walburges area.

Councillor John Swindells, who represents the university ward, said: “The meeting is the opportunity for the patients to receive the most up to date information and to voice their concerns.”

The event takes place at the St Walburges Church Hall from 6pm.
