Runners have taken on the annual Preston 10 mile road race.

Hundreds of runners started off from Hutton Grammar School to take on the two lap race on the flat.

The record is held by Andi Jones, set in 2011, of 49minutes and 43 seconds.

There were perfect conditions as runners pounded the pavements of Penwortham and south Preston during the race.

It is the 33rd time the race has been run and was open to all over 16.
