PS David Herbert of Preston Police said: “I would ask van owners to remain vigilant at all times and take whatever steps they can to ensure their vehicle remains secure. Any suspicious activity can be reported to the police and if anyone has any information, please contact police on 101.”

Officers from Preston’s neighbourhood policing team are advising van owners to ensure their vehicles are kept secure.
