X Factor contestant Jack Walton is also a last minute addition to the bill.
The switch on, with more Christmas lights than ever before, takes place from 5.30pm on the Flag Market on Saturday 15 November.
Mark Whittle of lights switch on organisers Preston Business Improvement District, said: “The Christmas lights switch-on is always a huge event in Preston; I cannot remember the last time we did not get a full house on the Flag Market and this year’s acts will be a big draw again.
“Marc’s storyline in Coronation Street is huge right now and we’re confident he’ll prove popular with event attendees, as will our musical acts. We’re delighted to be partnering with Smooth Radio, which as the North West’s largest commercial station, will ensure our messages reaches over 1.1 million people across the region”

“The BID is funding a new, improved Christmas lights scheme which covers more of the city centre than ever before and the switch-on event always signals the start of the festive period”.
“It is a really important time of the year for our city centre traders and I am confident the people from right across the North West will come and enjoy the great package Preston is putting on.
“As with any year, we are always looking for more stars to appear on the Flag Market right up until the last minute, so I am sure there will be plenty for people to see and do.”
