Pedestrian taken to hospital after Avenham collision

A woman was taken to hospital after a collision on a Preston city centre road.

Lancashire Police were called to reports of an incident involving a red Toyota Carina and a pedestrian on Frenchwood Street.

The North West Ambulance Service made the call after treating the pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, with a head injury and taking her to hospital.

The incident happened around 5.10pm and police closed the junction of Avenham Lane and Frenchwood Street until 6pm on Monday.
