Rockprest has been officially announced, meaningĀ Preston will get a music festival after all.
AdvertisementThe festival will be held on Moor Park in the Summer of 2015 and feature a variety of tribute acts.
Festival curator Jools Taylor said: āWe have been in close discussions and planning now with Preston Council for nearly a year and we are extremely excited to be bringing a new Festival to Preston in summer 2015 titled Rockprest.
“Our festivals are unique as they are free to attend, the ticket is free and all the attendees pay is the actual booking fee through the ticket outlets which is never more than Ā£2.50.
“Rockprest will be aimed at all ages and there will be something for everybody including 2 stages of music, thrill rides, kidās rides, market area, plus food and beer tents cater for all tastesā.
Full details for the festival, such as dates and line-up won’t be announced until after Christmas, although it is expected that the festival will have tribute acts to the biggest bands in the world.
